ElementsTM Roman Shades By LafayetteTM
ElementsTM Roman Shades from Lafayette are custom tailored for your window to the finest quality standards. All shades are weighted for ease of operation. They are mounted on a 2″ deep board covered in the face fabric and trimmed with color coordinated gimp. Cord lock operating systems is standard or opt for the Achieva Clutch operating system for a small additional charge.
To enhance the body of your shade, and for a neutral look to the street side, all shades are lined with our superior light filtering sateen as standard. If you desire additional light control or privacy, room darkening lining is available for an additional charge. Both light filtering and room darkening linings add an additional element of energy efficiency to your shades by keeping out the cold in winter and the heat in the summer. Sizes are available up to 96″ wide x 96″ long.
Styles Available
Flat Roman Shades
Classic Roman Shades are always a favorite style. Its sleek contemporary design has a sophisticated modern look. When raised, flat roman shades fold neatly up the window and hang with clean horizontal lines when lowered.
Flat Roman Shades are available in two distinct designs, Waterfall and Front Valance.
Waterfall: This term implies that the face material is coming from the front of the mounting board with all controls and hardware behind the material. A small rear mounted valance will help to hide the controls and hardware looking in from outside your home.
Front Valance: This term implies that the face material is coming from the back of the board with the controls and hardware concealed by a small front mounted valance.
Casual Roman Shades
Casual Roman Shades Feature a soft relaxed swag appearance at the bottom of the shade. It can be elegant in a formal setting or look comfortable in a relaxed atmosphere, making it very versatile. When the shade is lowered it has clean flat lines except at the bottom where the swag hangs. When raised, the flat portion of the shade folds above the swag as it raises toward the top of the window.

Hobbled Roman Shades
Hobbled Roman Shades add luxurious depth to your design. Its graceful cascading folds make it perfect for traditional or eclectic rooms. When the shade is lowered the fold are 6-7″ apart. When raised the fold stack evenly at the top of the window.

Fabrics
Fabric Group 1 is a 100% Combed Cotton and is available in 15 colors including whites, reds, blues and greens. Combed Cotton is a clean even fabric showing a small woven pattern. The Combed Cotton comes treated with soil and stain repellent.
Fabric Group 2 is a blended fabric made up of 60% Linen and 40% Spun Rayon and is available in 15 colors including whites, reds, blues and greens. Group 2 is a heavier and more open weave than group one creating a more textured look. Linen while a durable and beautiful fabric does have a tendency to shrink and/or wrinkle.
