Many of you have heard about the recall of and halt of sales on Roman Shades by now. By issue is the exposed cording on the back side of MOST Roman Shades, it exposes children to an unnecessary level of risk. There is only ONE product line that was exempt from the recall…Vignette® Modern Roman Shades by Hunter Douglas®. The special design of the Vignette® Modern Roman Shades places the lifting cords safely between the lining and the main fabric to increase child cord safety. Add an additional level of safety by using the LiteRise cordless or PowerRise® 2.0 with PlatinumTM Technology.
Hunter Douglas
The Vignette® Modern Roman Shades by Hunter Douglas® product line is one of the best manufactured roman shades on the market today. Vignette® Modern Roman Shades by Hunter Douglas® is a “soft fold” roman shade (see pictures for details) mounted on a roller style Cassette. The advantage of this style mounting is that the product rolls up into the fabric covered headrail eliminating the traditional bulky top of a roman shade. Vignette® Modern Roman Shades by Hunter Douglas® are available with two different lining options and multiple cording options including motorization and top down / bottom up control. This product offers 11 fabric pattern choices with 8-12 color choices in each pattern.
Update: The new “Tiered” system is available for those who like the more traditional design of a Roman Shade but with the increased options and apperance of the Vignette® Modern Roman Shades by Hunter Douglas®. The “Tiered” style is available with all options available in the original product design, including Top Down/ Bottom Up and Motorization.
