In addition to its good looks and wide range of options the cellular shade is also a terrific insulator for your home. “R-Value” measures the ability of a product to prevent heat loss during the winter and prevent heat transfer during the summer. An R-Value of 4.00 will decrease the heat loss of a window by 50%. Most cellular shades offer a range from 3.3 to 7.73 to help you control the cost of heating and cooling your home.
